Christina Stover

Christina Stover

Chief Executive Officer

A seasoned healthcare executive, Christina Stover has more than twenty years of experience in post-acute healthcare and has held a CEO position since 2004. Prior to accepting the position at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia, she was CEO of Kindred Hospital of Dayton, Ohio; Select Specialty Hospital of Tallahassee, Florida; and Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington, West Virginia. Stover is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been a member of Rotary since 2001. She received a master’s degree in business administration from Marshall University and a bachelor’s degree in social work from West Virginia State College.


Janet Smith

Janet D. Smith

Director of Marketing Operations

Janet Smith joins HealthSouth with more than 20 years of managerial experience in the health care industry. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Smith was regional director of operations for Sunrise Senior Living in Virginia and was a vice president of sales and marketing for Centrum Management, a privately owned property management company with a focus in Senior Housing along the East Coast and the Midwest. Smith entered the business arena of health care with a marketing position at Procter & Gamble. She began her career in the acute hospital setting as a clinical nurse. Smith holds a master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing (magna cum laude) from Union College.


Beth Parrish

Beth Parrish

Human Resource Director

Beth Parrish has 15 years of experience in healthcare administration with an emphasis in human resources management. She received an undergraduate degree in health science from Old Dominion University and a graduate degree in healthcare administration from University of Phoenix. Parrish has worked and supported several large hospital systems throughout her career. She has supported and chaired numerous committees, most recently the following: Ethics, Joint Commission Preparedness and Awareness, Identification of Best Practices (Magnet Journey). Her professional interests include: development of recruitment and retention strategies, identifying best practices in clinical and non-clinical tasks, and advancing employee professional growth and development. She participates in local and federal government events planning and activities. Parrish also develops and writes educational curriculum for students and adults relating to business and human resource administration.


Brenda Fletcher

Brenda Fletcher, RN, BSN, CCM

Director of Quality and Risk Management

Brenda Fletcher has thirty years of experience in the nursing field, including clinical programs, case management, program planning and development, disease state management, utilization management, therapy and patient education, and quality management, among others. Fletcher earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Waynesburg in Pennsylvania. She holds certification in case management and utilization review.


Maureen Dell

Maureen Dell

Director of Health Information Management

Maureen Dell is a graduate from the University of Tennessee, Memphis where she earned a bachelor's degree in health information management. Dell is certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). During her more than 14 years in the healthcare industry, Dell has held various positions within medical records including: file clerk/analyst, coder, consultant and director. In addition to being the Director of HIMS, Dell currently oversees medical staff credentialing and is also the HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer.


Erin Sherwood

Erin Sherwood

Director of Pharmacy

Erin joined HealthSouth in July of 2010 as a part-time pharmacist and was promoted to Director of Pharmacy in October of the same year. She completed a pre-pharmacy program at Mary Washington College, now named the University of Mary Washington, then graduated from Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. She then worked at Giant Pharmacy for more than 20 years serving as a staff pharmacist and manager of three pharmacies. Erin is a member of VPha and also is a preceptor for Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy.


Jason Waibel

Jason Waibel

Director of Therapy Operations

Prior to joining HealthSouth, Jason Waibel served as director of rehabilitation services for a mid-sized healthcare system, which included oversight of acute care, outpatient clinics, home health and transitional care. He also served as an executive director for an assisted living community. As a graduate associate to the Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Waibel supported various administrative functions towards the achievement of Magnet Status. As a clinician, he specialized in stroke and traumatic brain injury at the University of Maryland Medical System's Kernan Rehabilitation Hospital, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Waibel received his bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Pittsburgh, and a master's degree in health administration from The Ohio State University.


Phillip Eaton

Phillip Eaton

Chief Nursing Officer

Phillip comes to HealthSouth with more than thirty years of varied healthcare experience. He has held several senior leadership positions and most recently served as a Vice President of Patient Care in Douglas, Wyoming. He holds a master's degree in healthcare administration and nursing. In addition, Phillip is a licensed, registered nurse and respiratory therapist and board certified as a nurse executive by The American Nurses Credentialing Center (AACN). Currently, he is working on his doctorate degree at NOVA-Southeastern University.
